Flora Spectrum Orford Ness

For over 30 years, data has been collected about the common and rare fauna on Orford Ness by the National Trust. Jane started to devise a spectrum that charts the colours of plants found on the Ness throughout the seasons. This is part of her ongoing works on Orford Ness in which she records the colours of this particular landscape and references early camouflage research that took place here in the early twentieth century.

Flora Spectrum Orford Ness was shown in the two-part exhibition Make It Count. As a largescale wrap-around wall piece in the Power House, and as a looped video in the Waterfront Building, Ipswich (2024). The video version was also shown in the exhibition LAND, curated by Clare Palmier at The Art Station in 2025.
